On July 1, 2022, 57-year-old civil engineer Dr.-Ing. Karsten Gruber was appointed Managing Director of OBERMEYER Infrastruktur GmbH & Co. KG. He is leaving Sweco GmbH, where he was a member of the management board for many years.

“I am very pleased that we have been able to acquire an experienced managing director with Dr.-Ing. Karsten Gruber. Together with the management team, he will consolidate the successful business of OBERMEYER Infrastruktur and further develop the company in a consistent and future-oriented manner,” says Jens Ulrich, Managing Director of OBERMEYER Holding GmbH. Ulrich himself has been responsible for this position in addition to his function in the holding since the end of 2020, after the former OBERMEYER Planen + Beraten GmbH became OBERMEYER Infrastruktur GmbH & Co. KG and OBERMEYER Gebäudeplanung GmbH & Co. KG.

Dr.-Ing. Karsten Gruber has extensive experience in the planning and execution of construction and infrastructure projects. He worked for international construction companies, primarily handling major projects in the Netherlands, England and Germany. Since 2005, he has been responsible for the management of various companies. In 2012, Gruber joined Sweco GmbH, where he was appointed to the management board for infrastructure and held this position until mid-November 2021. Due to structural decisions of the Swedish parent company, the Germany management was reduced to one person at that time. Until his change to OBERMEYER Infrastruktur GmbH & Co. KG, he was still active for the company in an advisory capacity.
